A9 North of Dunbeath | Overnight Surfacing
On behalf of Transport Scotland, BEAR Scotland will be carrying out essential surfacing improvements on the A9 North of Dunbeath, with works set to get underway from Wednesday 11 June.
The project will take place from Wednesday 11 June between the hours of 7pm and 6am each night. All surfacing works are expected to be completed by 6am on Monday 16 June, subject to weather conditions. No works will take place on Friday and Saturday nights.
To protect the workforce and road users there will be a lane closure with 10mph convoy in place each working night. The lane closure will be removed outwith working hours to keep disruption to a minimum, with a speed restriction of 30mph in place as traffic will be running over a temporary surface.
Access through the works site for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
Euan Scott, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative said: “The £96,000 investment by Transport Scotland, which will see a 200m stretch of carriageway resurfaced, will help address defects and greatly improve the surface for road users.
“Our teams will do all they can to complete the works as quickly and safely as possible, and we thank the local community and road users for their patience in advance while we complete these works.”
