A9 Faskally Pitlochry Southbound Off and On Slips | Resurfacing Works
From Tuesday 28 April 2026, Perth and Kinross Council are carrying out resurfacing works across two phases on the A924 at the north side of Pitlochry which impact the A9 southbound slip roads.
The works have been phased to minimise disruption as much as possible and will be carried out on weekdays only to allow their safe and efficient completion completed before the weekend of the Etape Caledonia cycle race on Sunday 10 May 2026 and prior to the proposed works on the southbound Pitlochry A9 slip road by BEAR Scotland.
The second phase covers the A924/A9 slip road, beginning on Tuesday 28 April and due to take 9 weekdays to complete with a road closure from 9am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday, except for the bank holiday on Monday 4 May when the road will be open potentially with traffic lights in operation, before works resume on Tuesday 5 May due to complete on Friday 8 May. The official diversion routes will be as follows:
Southbound: North Pitlochry B8019 - B8079 Killiecrankie - A9 - A827 Ballinluig - A9 - A924 Pitlochry Centre
Loading and parking suspensions will be in place, with temporary traffic lights operating to ensure the safety of the site. The traffic lights may also be operational overnight and at weekends.
