A9 Dualling: Tomatin to Moy | Road Closures

A9 Tomatin/Moy
8th of February 2026, 8:00am to 8th of February 2026, 9:30am

On Sunday 8 February 2026, three short road closures will be implemented using temporary traffic signals on the A9 to allow for the safe removal and replacement of overhead cables as part of the A9 Dualling: Tomatin to Moy project.

The three closures will last up to 15 minutes each and will take place on separate occasions between 8:00am and 9:05am on Sunday 8 February 2026. The works will take place on the A9 approximately 1km north of the Lynebeg realignment, as shown on the plan below.

Traffic in both directions will be held by red traffic signals during these times. Once the works are safely complete traffic will resume normal operation. Access for pedestrians and emergency services will be maintained at all times. The signals will be manned throughout, with work scheduled early during a Sunday morning in order to minimise disruption.

These short closures will cause some delay to road users and we apologise for any inconvenience caused. These measures are essential for the safety of both the workforce and road users, as the works take place interfacing with live traffic.
