A9 Between Dunblane and Aberuthven | Woodland Management
Amey is undertaking overnight essential woodland management at varying locations on the A9 between Dunblane and Aberuthven from Monday 16th February to Friday 20th March.
The essential maintenance, which Amey is undertaking on behalf of Transport Scotland, will trim areas of woodland adjacent to the A9 to improve biodiversity.
The work will also remove hazardous trees and trim any trees that may encroach on the carriageway for the safety of the travelling public.
To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists the essential maintenance will be carried out under a rolling programme of temporary traffic lights and lane restrictions between 7.30pm and 6.30am on weekdays only.
There will also be a total closure of the A9 northbound for three nights and a closure of the A9 northbound off slip for the A820 to Dunblane/Doune as follows:
Thursday 5th March to Tuesday 10th March (weekdays only): Overnight total closure of A9 northbound just north of Aberuthven near the A9/A824 junction.
Diversion Route: A9 northbound traffic can exit the A9 at the A824 junction for Auchterarder/Aberuthven and follow the A824 through Auchterarder and Aberuthven before rejoining the A9 northbound just past Aberuthven.
Wednesday 11th March to Tuesday 17th March (weekdays only): Overnight closure of A9 northbound off slip for the A820 to Dunblane/Doune.
Diversion Route: A9 northbound traffic can continue on the A9 northbound and exit the next junction for the B8033 to Dunblane/Kinbuck. They can turn at this junction to access the A9 southbound and follow the route to access the southbound off slip for the A820 to Dunblane/Doune.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
