A876 Clackmannanshire Bridge | Drainage Works
The A876 trunk road over the Clackmannanshire Bridge will be closed in both directions for drainage cleaning works between 20:00 and 06:00 on the nights of Wednesday 28, Thursday 29 and Friday 30 October.
A diversion route will be signposted between Kilbagie Roundabout and Higgins Neuk Roundabout via the A977, North Approach Road and A985 Kincardine Bridge. This will add approximately 2 minutes and 0.3 miles to affected journeys.
Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
Relevant stakeholders have been consulted in advance to make them aware of the plans.
Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s South East Network Manager, said: “It’s essential for safety that we close the road in both directions while these drainage works are completed.
“We’ll do this at night and the diversion is relatively short, so we do not expect this to cause any significant disruption.”
