A85 West of Tyndrum | Resurfacing Works

A85 West of Tyndrum
27th of April 2026, 7:00am to 30th of April 2026, 7:00pm

BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, are set to carry out resurfacing on the A85 at Arrivain, west of Tyndrum from Monday 27 April.

Works will be carried out between the hours of 7am and 7pm and are expected to be completed by the evening of Thursday 30 April.

To ensure the safety of the workforce and members of the travelling public, a 10mph convoy will operate under two-way temporary traffic lights. Outwith working hours, traffic management will be removed however, a 30mph speed limit will remain in place as traffic will be travelling over a temporary surface.

Consultation has taken place with all relevant stakeholders in advance of the resurfacing to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements and to minimise any inconvenience.

Steve Taylor, BEAR Scotland’s North West Design Manager said: “Resurfacing of the A85 at Arrivain will fix existing defects along this section and will also allow application of new road markings, greatly improving quality and safety of the route for road users.

“Our teams will carry out these works efficiently, with safety as our top priority. We thank the local community and road users for their patience while we complete the improvements.”
