A85 at Perth Road | Wall repairs
BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, are set to carry out essential works on the A85 at Perth Road, Gilmerton outside Fasgadh House from Monday 20 October.
Construction works will take place between 8am and 4.30pm each day and are expected to be completed by Friday 24 October.
The A85 will remain open throughout with temporary traffic lights used to protect the workforce and members of the public whilst works are taking place. Traffic management will be removed outwith working hours.
Access for emergency services and scheduled bus services will be maintained for the full duration of the works.
Consultation has taken place with all relevant stakeholders in advance to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements proposed and to minimise any inconvenience caused.
Euan Scott, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative said: “These works are essential to repair a section of wall at Fasgadh House on Perth Road in Gilmerton.
“Our teams will carry out these works quickly, with safety as our top priority. We thank the local community and road users for their patience while we complete the improvements.”
