A85 In Crieff | Drainage Construction Works
BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is set to carry out essential drainage construction works on the A85 between the junctions for Ochil View Gardens and Rectory Road in Crieff from Wednesday 25 February.
Works will be carried out between the hours of 8pm and 6:30am, and are expected to be completed by the morning of Friday 27 February.
To protect the workforce and road users, three-way temporary traffic lights will be in place. It may also be necessary to close the footway at certain times. However, diversions around the works area will be in place for pedestrians to ensure their safety.
Access through the worksite for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
Steve Taylor, BEAR Scotland’s North West Planned Maintenance Manager said; “These essential drainage works will help reduce instances of flooding on the A85 trunk road and provide a safer route for motorists using the carriageway.”
“Our teams will complete the works as quickly and safely as they can, and we thank the local community and road users for their patience in advance while we complete these works.”
“We encourage motorists to plan ahead before setting out by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up-to-date travel information.”
