BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, are set to carry out drainage investigations on the A85 on Comrie Road, Crieff from Thursday 29 October.

Works will be carried out between the hours of 7:30pm and 6am and are expected to be completed on the morning of Saturday 31 October.

To ensure the safety of the workforce and members of the travelling public, two-way traffic lights will be in place. The footway will also be closed with diversions for pedestrians. Traffic management will be removed outwith working hours.

Access for emergency services and scheduled bus services will be maintained for the full duration of  the works.

Consultation has taken place with all relevant stakeholders in advance of the drainage improvements to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements and to minimise any inconvenience.

Steve Taylor, BEAR Scotland’s North West Design Manager said: “These drainage investigations on the A85 in Crieff will attempt to clear any blockages, and provide valuable information about the condition of the drainage assets which will determine if improvements to the drainage system are requiered.”

“Our teams will carry out these works quickly, with safety as our top priority. We thank the local community and road users for their patience while we complete the improvements.”
