West Of Stirling
17th of June 2026, 7:00pm to 7th of July 2026, 6:00am

BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is set to carry out essential road resurfacing works at two locations on the A84 single carriageway west of Stirling, between Blackdub and Nyadd, from Wednesday 17 June.

Works will be carried out between the hours of 7pm and 6am each working night, with all works expected to be completed by the morning of Tuesday 7 July.

To protect the workforce, two-way traffic lights will be in operation with a 10mph convoy system to safely escort road users through the site. Outwith working hours, a 30mph speed restriction will be in place due to there being no road markings. No works will be carried out on Friday or Saturday nights.

Access through the work sites for emergency services will be maintained at all times.

Steve Taylor, BEAR Scotland’s North West Design Manager, said: “This carriageway resurfacing will fix existing defects in the road surface and improve road markings, providing smoother and safer journeys for road users.

“Our teams are committed to executing these works efficiently with safety as our top priority. We thank the local community and road users for their patience while we complete the improvements.”
