A84 Straid House, South of Callander | Drainage Works
BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is set to carry out daytime drainage improvements on the A84 at Straid House, South of Callander, starting Monday 19 October.
Works will be carried out between the hours of 8am and 4pm and are expected to be completed by Friday 6 November.
To ensure the safety of the workforce and members of the travelling public, temporary traffic lights and a layby closure will be in place 24 hours a day, including weekends.
Access for emergency services and scheduled bus services will be maintained for the full duration of the works.
Consultation has taken place with all relevant stakeholders in advance of the drainage improvements to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements and to minimise any inconvenience.
Euan Burnett, BEAR Scotland’s North West Planned Maintenance Manager, said: “These drainage improvements on the A84 at Straid House will reduce instances of flooding on the trunk road, increasing the safety of all road users.
“Our teams will carry out these works quickly, with safety as our top priority. We thank the local community and road users for their patience while we complete the improvements.”
