A84 South of Keltie | Bridge Resurfacing
BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is set to carry out resurfacing on the A84 south of Keltie Bridge, east of Callander, from Wednesday 8 July.
Works will be carried out between the hours of 7pm and 6am and are expected to be completed by Monday 20 July. No works will be undertaken on Friday or Saturday evenings.
For the safety of the workforce and members of the travelling public, temporary traffic lights with a 10mph convoy vehicle will be in place for the duration of the works. Traffic management will be removed outwith working hours.
Access for emergency services and scheduled bus services will be maintained for the full duration of the works, and temporary bus stops will be in operation.
Consultation has taken place with all relevant stakeholders in advance of the resurfacing to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements and to minimise any inconvenience.
Euan Burnett, BEAR Scotland’s North West Planned Maintenance Manager said: “The works on the A84 south of Keltie Bridge will fix defects in the road surface and improve road markings, greatly improving the quality and safety of this section of the trunk road for all users.
“Our teams will carry out these works quickly, with safety as our top priority. We thank the local community and road users for their patience while we complete the improvements.”
