8th of April 2026, 9:30am to 21st of April 2026, 4:00pm

BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, are set to carry out the second phase of footway improvements on the A84 near to Kincardine-in-Menteith Primary School. The work includes constructing a new footway, resurfacing existing footways and installing new uncontrolled crossing points.

Works will take place between 9.30am and 4pm from Wednesday 8 April and will be completed on the afternoon of Tuesday 21 April. No works will take place on Saturdays or Sundays.

To ensure the safety of the roadworkers and road users, temporary traffic lights will be in place during working hours.

Access for emergency services and scheduled bus services will be maintained for the full duration of the works.

Consultation has taken place with all relevant stakeholders in advance of the footway works to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements.

Kevin McKechnie, BEAR Scotland’s North West Road Safety Manager said: “The footway improvements make up the second part of a package of works to improve road user safety on the A84. The new footways and crossing points will provide safer pedestrian access to and from bus stops and local facilities, including Kincardine-in-Menteith and Camphill, Blair Drummond.”

“Our teams will carry out these works with safety as a top priority. We thank the local community and road users for their patience while we complete the improvements.”
