A835 North of Loch Droma | Resurfacing
On behalf of Transport Scotland, BEAR Scotland will be carrying out essential improvements on the A835 north of Loch Droma, with works beginning on Thursday 19 June.
The project is expected to be completed by the morning of Tuesday 24 June. Works will take place between the hours of 8pm and 6am and there will be no works on Friday and Saturday nights.
To protect road workers and motorists, there will be a full road closure overnight as these works take place. Vehicles will be held at either side of the work site until they can be safely escorted through the area at 9pm, 10pm, 11pm, midnight, 2am and 4am.
The A835 will be open outwith working hours to minimise disruption, with a speed restriction of 30mph in place.
Access through the works site for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
Euan Scott, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative said: “The overnight closure is essential for the safety of road workers and motorists. We’ve taken steps to limit the overall impact of the project by carrying out the work overnight and by providing amnesty periods for traffic to pass.
“We thank the local community and road users for their patience while we complete these works.”
