A835 North of Glascarnoch Dam | Surface Improvements
On behalf of Transport Scotland, BEAR Scotland will be carrying out essential surface improvements on the A835 north of Glascarnoch Dam, from Monday 12 October.
Works will be carried out between 7am and 7pm between Monday and Friday with works expected to be completed by Friday 23 October. There will be no works carried out over the weekends.
To ensure the safety of both workers and road users, lane closures will be in place with a convoy system to safely escort traffic through the work site. These traffic management measures will be removed outwith working and at the weekends.
Further works will be required at this location in November. Dates will be confirmed in due course.
Access through the works site for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
Euan Burnett, BEAR Scotland’s North West Planned Maintenance Manager said: “This crucial surfacing project on the A835 North of Glascarnoch Dam will fix existing defects and significantly enhance the driving experience for all road users.
“Our teams are committed to executing these works quickly with safety as our top priority. We extend our gratitude to the local community and road users for their patience while we complete the improvements.
“To minimise delays, we recommend that motorists plan their journeys in advance by consulting the Traffic Scotland website for real-time travel updates.”
