A835 Kinkell To Conon | Overnight Resurfacing

A835 Kinkell/Conon
11th of January 2026, 8:00pm to 27th of January 2026, 6:00am

On behalf of Transport Scotland, BEAR Scotland will be carrying out essential surfacing improvements on the A835 South of Conon Bridge, with works set to get underway on Sunday 11 January.

The £567,000 investment by Transport Scotland will see a 1140m stretch of the carriageway resurfaced, to ensure that the A835 continues to operate safely for years to come.

Works will be carried out Sunday to Thursday nights, between the hours of 8pm and 6am. All surfacing works are anticipated to be complete by 6am on Tuesday 27 January, subject to weather conditions.

To protect roadworkers and motorists there will be a lane closure with convoy in place each working night. The A835 will be open outwith working hours to keep disruption to a minimum, however a speed restriction of 30mph will remain in place as traffic will be running over a temporary surface.

Euan Scott, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative said: “This surfacing project on the A835 will fix existing defects and greatly improve the surface for road users.

“Our teams will complete the works as quickly and safely as possible, and we thank the local community and road users for their patience in advance while we complete these works.

“We encourage motorists to plan ahead before setting out by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up-to-date travel information.”

Materials removed from the existing carriageway will be recycled using SEPA approved methods.
