Dun-Aluinn, 2 miles south of Bellochantuy – Wednesday 4 to Thursday 5 February
These drainage construction works will be carried out between the hours of 8am and 4:30pm and are anticipated to be complete on Thursday 5 February.
To protect the workforce and road users, the carriageway will remain open under two-way temporary traffic lights with vehicles being escorted safely through the site under convoy at 10mph. Traffic management will be removed outwith working hours.
Access through the worksite for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
Steve Taylor, BEAR Scotland’s North West Planned Maintenance Manager said; “These essential drainage works will help reduce instances of flooding on the A83 Trunk Road and provide a safer route for motorists using the carriageway.
“Our teams will do all they can to complete the works as quickly and safely as they can, and we thank the local community and road users for their patience in advance while we complete these works.
“We encourage road users to plan ahead before setting out by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up-to-date travel information.”
