A83 North of Cairndow | Overnight Resurfacing
BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is set to carry out essential improvements at two locations on the A83 north of Cairndow from Monday 8 December between the hours of 7pm and 6am.
These carriageway improvements are expected to be completed by the morning of Monday 15 December.
To protect the workforce, this section of the A83 will be subject to appropriate traffic management measures:
- Glaschoine House: Temporary traffic light and a 10mph convoy will be operated overnight from Monday 8 December to the morning of Friday 12 December.
- Ardgenavan: From Sunday 14 December to Wednesday 17 December, nighttime closures will be implemented with amnesties provided to allow road users to pass through the site safely at 8pm, 9pm, 10pm, 11pm, midnight, 1am, 2am, 3am, 4am and 5am.
There will be no works or road closure on Friday and Saturday nights.
Traffic management measures will be removed outwith working hours, however, a speed restriction of 30mph will remain in place during the day as traffic will be running on a temporary surface with no road markings.
Access through the works sites for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
