A83 Kinloch Road Campbeltown | Drainage Investigation Works
BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland will be carrying out essential drainage investigation works on the A83 at Kinloch Road, Campbeltown, with works planned to commence on Monday 16 February.
The investigation works will be carried out between the hours of 7:30pm and 6am each night and are expected to be completed by the morning of Thursday 19 February.
To protect roadworkers, temporary traffic lights will be utilised whilst investigations are taking place but will be removed outwith working hours. In addition, a 24-hour temporary traffic restriction order will be in place on Kinloch Road to allow unhindered access to the carriageway drainage system.
Steve Taylor, BEAR Scotland’s North West Planned Maintenance Manager said; “These essential investigation works will provide useful information on the condition of the drainage system and will allow any restrictions to be cleared, improving the system’s capacity.
“Our teams will do all they can to complete the investigation as quickly and safely as possible, and we thank the local community and road users in advance for their patience while we complete these works. We encourage road users to plan ahead before setting out by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up-to-date travel information.”
