A83 Glen Kinglas | Ditch Improvement Works
BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, are set to carry out ditch improvements on the A83 at Glen Kinglas starting on Thursday 11 June.
The ditch running alongside the A83 will be realigned to help maintain proper drainage in the area.
Works will be carried out between the hours of 7am and 6pm, and are expected to be completed by Thursday 25 June.
To ensure the safety of the workforce and members of the travelling public, temporary traffic lights will be in operation seven days a week. Traffic lights will be removed outwith working hours.
Consultation has taken place with relevant stakeholders in advance of these works to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements and to minimise any inconvenience.
Michael Baxter, BEAR Scotland’s North West Improvements Scheme Manager said: “This ditch improvement project is key to ensuring the ongoing safe operation of the A83.
“The works have been planned to minimise disruption to road users as far as possible, however some delays are to be expected, especially during peak times.
“We thank road users in advance for their patience and understanding while our teams carry out these essential works.
