A83 Campbeltown | Resurfacing Works In Three Locations

BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is planning to carry out overnight carriageway resurfacing works on the A83 trunk road at various points in Campbeltown, aimed at enhancing road safety and conditions for motorists.

These works are planned to take place between 7pm and 6am each night from the night of Sunday 5 July until the morning of Friday 10 July, subject to weather.

To protect the workforce, three locations of the A83 within Campbeltown will be subject to appropriate traffic management measures:

A83 Kinloch Road: Sunday 5 July until the morning of Wednesday 8 July.
Temporary traffic lights with a 10mph convoy will be in operation during working hours. Junctions throughout the traffic management will be manually controlled, directing local traffic through the worksite when it is safe to do so.

A83 Dellwood Hotel (Millknowe Road): Wednesday 8 July until the morning of Thursday 9 July.
A full road closure will be in place each night, with amnesties where work is stopped and traffic is allowed to pass through the closure, will take place every hour on the hour starting at 8pm. Motorists are encouraged to plan their journeys to coincide with amnesty times.
 

A83 Ferry Terminal Roundabout (Hall Street): Thursday 9 July until the morning of Friday 10 July.

Outwith working hours, the A83 will be fully reopened; however, a speed restriction will remain in place.

Access through the work sites for emergency services and local residents will be maintained at all times.
