A828 at Barcaldine | Drainage Works
BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, will be carrying out essential drainage works on the A828 at Barcaldine from Monday 8 December.
The drainage works will be carried out between the hours of 8am and 4pm and are expected to be completed by Friday 19 December. No works will take place over the weekends, or on Monday 15 and Tuesday 16 December.
To protect both the workforce and road users, temporary traffic lights will be in place. These will be removed outwith working hours.
Access through the worksite for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
Euan Scott, BEAR Scotland’s North West representative said; “These essential drainage works will help reduce instances of flooding on the A828 trunk road and provide a safer route for motorists using the carriageway.”
“Our teams will complete the works as quickly and safely as possible, and we thank the local community and road users for their patience in advance while we complete these works.
“We encourage road users to plan ahead before setting out by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up-to-date travel information.”
