A82 South of Tyndrum | Safety Barrier Installation
BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, are set to install a safety barrier on a section of the A82 at Dalrigh Junction, just south of Tyndrum.
Works will be carried out overnight between 7pm and 6am from the evening of Monday 17 August to the morning of Friday 21 August.
To ensure the safety of the workforce and members of the travelling public, temporary traffic lights will be in place during work hours. Outwith working hours, all traffic management will be removed, but a 30mph speed restriction will remain in place.
Consultation has taken place with relevant stakeholders in advance of these works to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements and to minimise any inconvenience.
Michael Baxter, BEAR Scotland’s North West Improvements Scheme Manager, said: “This safety barrier improvement project is key to ensuring the ongoing safe operation of the A82.
“The works have been planned to minimise disruption to road users as far as possible; however, some delays are to be expected while traffic lights are in operation.
“We thank road users in advance for their patience and understanding while our teams carry out these essential works and would ask them to fully comply with temporary speed limits to ensure our workers can go home safely to their families each day.”
