A82 South of Spean Bridge | Resurfacing Works
BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is set to carry out resurfacing works on the A82 South of Spean Bridge from Sunday 26 October.
Works will be carried out between the hours of 7pm and 6am and are expected to be completed by the morning of Saturday 1 November.
To protect the workforce and members of the travelling public, the road will be closed in both directions at night whilst work is taking place. Amnesties will be offered at 8pm, 9pm, 10pm, 11pm, midnight, 2am, and 4am to allow waiting vehicles to be escorted safely through the site.
Access for emergency services and scheduled bus services will be maintained for the full duration of the works.
Consultation has taken place with all relevant stakeholders in advance of the surfacing improvements to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements.
Euan Scott, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative said: “This resurfacing project on the A82 south of Spean Bridge will fix existing defects in the road surface and improve road markings, greatly improving quality and safety for road users.
“Our teams will carry out these works quickly, with safety as our top priority. We thank the local community and road users for their patience while we complete the improvements.”
