A82 South Of Rannoch Moor | Resurfacing Works
BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is set to carry out resurfacing at two locations on the A82 at Rannoch Moor.
Works will be carried out between the hours of 7pm and 6am from the evening of Sunday 26 July until the morning of Tuesday 25 August. There will be no work undertaken on Friday and Saturday nights.
To ensure the safety of the workforce and road users, a 10mph convoy with temporary traffic lights will be in place. Outwith working hours the road will be fully open to traffic, however, a 30mph speed limit will remain in place as traffic will be travelling over a temporary surface.
Access for emergency services and scheduled bus services will be maintained for the full duration of the works.
Consultation has taken place with all relevant stakeholders to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements that are to be implemented.
Euan Burnett, BEAR Scotland’s North West Planned Maintenance Manager said: “This resurfacing on the A82 will address existing defects in the road surface and upgrade road markings, greatly improving the quality and safety of this section of the route for road users.
“Safe completion of the works is our top priority and we thank the local community and road users for their patience in advance.”
