A82 Rannoch Moor | Resurfacing Works
BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, are set to carry out resurfacing on the A82 at Rannoch Moor.
Works will be carried out between the hours of 7pm and 6am from the evening of Sunday 12 April until the morning of Monday 27 April. There will be no work undertaken on Friday and Saturday nights.
To ensure the safety of the workforce and road users, a 10mph convoy with temporary traffic lights will be in place. Outwith working hours traffic management will be removed, however, a 30mph speed limit will remain in place as traffic will be travelling over a temporary surface.
Access for emergency services and scheduled bus services will be maintained for the full duration of the works.
Consultation has taken place with all relevant stakeholders in advance of the resurfacing improvements to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements.
Steve Taylor, BEAR Scotland’s North West Planned Maintenance Manager said: “This resurfacing on the A82 will fix existing defects in the road surface and improve road markings, greatly improving the quality and safety for road users.
“Our teams will carry out these works with safety as our top priority. We thank the local community and road users for their patience while we complete the improvements.”
