A82 North Road in Fort William | Drainage Investigations
BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, will be carrying out essential drainage investigation on the A82 for two nights from Thursday 17 September.
The works will be carried out between the hours of 8pm and 6am and are expected to finish on the morning of Saturday 19 September.
To protect road users and roadworkers, temporary traffic lights will be in place during working hours. All traffic management will be removed outwith working hours. Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
Steve Taylor, BEAR Scotland’s North West Design Manager said: “This investigation will provide valuable information about the condition of the drainage asset as well as clear any blockages within the system which has experienced flooding recently.
“We thank the local community and road users for their patience while we complete these works. We encourage motorists to plan ahead before setting out by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up-to-date travel information.”
