A82 North of Alltsigh | Resurfacing

On behalf of Transport Scotland, BEAR Scotland will be carrying out essential surfacing improvements on the A82 north of Alltsigh with works take place in two phases.

The first phase of works will take place between 8pm and 6am each night from the evening of Sunday 19 October until the morning of Wednesday 22 October. No works will take place on Friday and Saturday nights.

The second phase of works will take place between 8pm and 6am each night from the evening of Sunday 2 November to the morning of Wednesday 12 November. No works will take place on Friday and Saturday nights.

Throughout both phases of works, a full closure with amnesties will be in place each night on the A82 to protect road users and road workers. Amnesties, where traffic will be escorted through the work site, will be provided at 9pm, 10pm, 11pm, midnight, 2am and 4am.

Outwith working, the A82 will be fully reopen with a 30mph speed restriction in place due to traffic travelling over a temporary surface.

Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times.

Consultation has taken place with all relevant stakeholders in advance of the resurfacing improvements to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements.

“The use of convoy traffic management during working hours is essential to ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists.”

Materials removed from the existing carriageway will be recycled using SEPA approved methods.
