Druim nan Sleibhean
18th of January 2026, 7:00pm to 10th of February 2026, 6:00am

BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, are set to carry out overnight resurfacing at two locations on the A82 near Onich, from Sunday 18 January:

  • Bunree to Corran: 7pm on Sunday 18 January to 6am on Monday 26 January
  • South Loch Linnhe Picnic Area: 7pm on Monday 26 Januar

Works will be carried out Sunday to Thursday nights between the hours of 7pm and 6am and are expected to be completed by the morning of Tuesday 10 February.

To ensure the safety of the workforce and members of the travelling public, the road will be closed in both directions for the duration of the works. Amnesties will provide timed access at 8pm, 9-9.30pm, 10.30pm, 11.30pm, 1am, 3am and 5am to allow waiting vehicles to be escorted safely through the site. The A82 will remain open between 9pm and 9.30pm to accommodate local bus timetables.

Access for emergency services and scheduled bus services will be maintained for the full duration of  the works.

Consultation has taken place with all relevant stakeholders in advance of the resurfacing to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements and to minimise any inconvenience.

Euan Scott, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative said: “This resurfacing project at two locations on the A82 near Onich will fix existing defects in the road surface and improve road markings, greatly improving the quality and safety for road users.

“Our teams will carry out these works quickly, with safety as our top priority. We thank the local community and road users for their patience while we complete the improvements.”
