A82 Great Western Road at the M8 Woodside Viaduct Slip Roads | Refurbishing Works
Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking refurbishment works on the eastbound on-slip and westbound off-slip at the A82 Great Western Road /M8 overbridge at the M8 Woodside Viaducts to progress work towards the reopening of these slip roads.
Works will take place from mid-April until the beginning of July 2026, using a 24-hour contraflow on the westbound carriageway. The contraflow will create a safe access and working area for our team.
From Friday 17th April 2026, there will be parking restrictions at this section of Great Western Road until the beginning of July 2026. On the eastbound, 12 parking spaces will be suspended to allow traffic to access Maryhill Place safely. On the westbound, 5 spaces will be suspended to allow traffic to exit the crossover and join Great Western Road.
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.
