A82 Between Lomondgate and Stoneymollen Roundabouts | Essential Maintenance Works
UPDATE (14/04/2026): Please be advised that due to operational delays, maintenance work on the A82 between Lomondgate and Stoneymollan Roundabouts will now complete by Tuesday 28th April 2026.
Previously programmed full closures on Wednesday 15th April and Thursday 16th April will no longer be required, and northbound closures of the A82 will now be in place on Sunday 26th, Monday 27th and Tuesday 28th April to complete the work.
Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential maintenance work on the A82 between Lomondgate and Stoneymollan Roundabouts from Thursday 26th March until Friday 17th April 2026.
This work will require continuous 24-hour offside lane closures of the A82 in both directions in this location and a temporary barrier will be in place.
All traffic management will be removed over the Easter Weekend and will return from the night of Monday 6th April.
This work will also require overnight closures as follows:
Thursday 26th March - northbound only
Friday 27th March - southbound only
Tuesday 31st March - northbound only
Wednesday 1st April - southbound only
Thursday 2nd April - northbound and southbound
Wednesday 15th April - northbound only
Thursday 16th April - southbound only
Northbound A82 traffic will be diverted via Lomondgate Roundabout to the A813 Stirling Road and the A811 Lomond Road to Stoneymollan roundabout.
Southbound A82 traffic will follow the above diversion route in reverse.
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
This scheme will improve access to carry out necessary future maintenance works proposed along this route, which in turn, will improve the safety and condition of the route and ensuring it remains fit for purpose.
Road users are thanked for their patience and understanding while this work is being undertaken.
