A78 at Long Drive in Irvine | Bridge Joint Replacements
Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential bridge joint replacements on the A78 at Long Drive in Irvine from Monday 28th September until Saturday 3rd October 2026 between the hours of 8pm and 6am each night.
This work will require overnight road closures in this location and traffic will be diverted via Long Drive, Manson Road, Kilwinning Road, Redburn Roundabout and Eglinton Interchange.
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
This scheme will benefit road users using this route each day, by improving the safety and condition of the carriageway structures on this route.
