A78 Hunterston Roundabout | Resurfacing

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential resurfacing on the A78 at Hunterston Roundabout, located between Fairlie and West Kilbride, on Thursday 14th May, from 8pm to 6am and from 8pm on Friday 15th to 6am on Monday 18th May 2026. This work will require lane closures controlled by temporary traffic lights on the roundabout circulatory.

Access to and from Oilrig Road will be maintained throughout the works.

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.

This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the safety and condition of the carriageway in this location.
