Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential barrier and drainage improvements on the A78 between Inverkip, Skelmorlie and Wemyss Bay Church from Monday 21st September until Thursday 24th September 2026 between the hours of 8pm and 7am each night.

During this time there will be overnight single lane closures managed with temporary traffic lights.

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.

This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the safety barriers and drainage of the road.
