A77 Northbound, East of Prestwick | Essential Resurfacing
Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential resurfacing on the A77 northbound between Sandyford Toll Roundabout and Shawhill Farm, from Friday 3rd October until Sunday 5th October 2025 between the hours of 8pm and 6am each night. Additionally, there will be a lane closure on Sunday 5th October between the hours of 6am and 8pm.
This work will require overnight closures of the northbound carriageway in this location and traffic will be diverted via the B743 Heathfield Road, A79 Ayr Road, Monktonhead Roundabout and the A78 to re-join the A77 at Dutchhouse Roundabout.
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the safety and condition of the carriageway in this area.
Road users are thanked for their patience and understanding while this work is being undertaken.
