(UPDATE 12/9/25) Please be advised that two overnight road closures will be required to continue Vehicle Restraint System replacements on the A77 northbound at Kennedy’s Pass, north of Lendalfoot, on Sunday 14th September and Sunday 28th September 2025 between the hours of 8pm and 6am each night. Traffic will be diverted via the A75 and the A714.

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential Vehicle Restraint System replacements on the A77 northbound at Kennedy’s Pass, north of Lendalfoot, from Tuesday 19th August 2025 for approximately ten weeks. This work will be carried out under 24-hour lane restrictions with temporary traffic lights in place, with a convoy system in operation during daytime working hours.

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.

This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the safety of the carriageway in this location.

Road users are thanked for their patience and understanding while this work is being undertaken.
