Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential maintenance on the A77 at Carlock Hill and Carlock Wall, north of Cairnryan, from Monday 10th November until Friday 28th November 2025 under temporary traffic lights. The works will involve remedial works to Carlock Wall as well as herbicide spraying and topsoiling/seeding to Carlock Hill. During this period we will also be undertaking Geotechnical Asset Inspections of areas which have not been able to be accessed recently due to the previous traffic management in place.
Between Monday 10th November and Friday 14th November, and between Monday 17th November and Friday 21st November, these traffic lights will be in place from 9:30am until 4pm.
Continuous 24-hour temporary traffic lights will be in place from 6am on Monday 24th November until 8pm on Friday 28th November.
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the safety and condition of the carriageway and surrounding area in this location.
