Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential footway renewals on the southbound A77 in Kilmarnock between Bogend Toll and Hellington Farm from Monday 30th September and Friday 8th November 2024 under 24-hour lane closures and continuous closures of the Tarbolton on-slip.

A signed diversion will be in place as follows: traffic will be diverted along the B730 to take the Tarbolton Road South roundabout and continue to the A77 northbound. Traffic will be directed to leave the A77 northbound at the Bellfield Interchange and take the sixth exit at the roundabout to join the A77 southbound, where this diversion will end.

A signed pedestrian diversion will be in place as follows: pedestrians will be diverted along the B730 to take the Tarbolton Road South roundabout, heading south on to Whitelees Road, Re-join A77 footway. Tarbolton bus stop will be closed with users being diverted to the next bus stop down line at the end of the pedestrian diversion.

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works. Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable. This scheme will benefit pedestrians using this route each day, by improving the condition and safety of the footpaths and reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in the future.
