UPDATE (28/05/2026): Please be advised that essential geotechnical investigations on the A76, west of Kirkconnel, will now take place between Monday 1st June and Friday 19th June 2026.

 

Works Postponed (07/05/2026)

Please be advised that due to operational delays, essential geotechnical investigations on the A76, west of Kirkconnel, have been postponed. New dates for this work will be communicated in due course.

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential geotechnical investigations on the A76, west of Kirkconnel, from Wednesday 6th May until Friday 5th June 2026 between the hours of 8am and 5pm each day.

 This work will require single lane closures managed by temporary traffic lights.

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.

Road users are thanked for their patience and understanding while this work is being undertaken.
