Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential resurfacing on the A76, south of Carronbridge from Monday 2nd February until Saturday 7th February 2026. This work will take place overnight between the hours of 7pm and 6am, each night, with all traffic management removed by 6am on Saturday 7th February 2026.
A nighttime convoy system will be installed between Thornhill and Carronbridge to the B732 Junction and Dabton to deliver this work. A Temporary Traffic Regulation Notice (TTRN) will be in effect for the closure of the B732 Junction with traffic diverted via Gill Road.
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the surface of the carriageway to increase its safety and efficiency.
Road users are thanked for their patience and understanding while this work is being undertaken.
