A76 at Holmhead | Essential bridge expansion joint replacements

Holmhead
4th of August 0225, 7:00am to 22nd of August 2025, 6:00pm

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential bridge expansion joint replacements on the A76 at Holmhead from Monday 4th August until Friday 22nd August 2025. This work will require daytime temporary traffic lights between the hours of 7am and 6pm each day, and overnight closures between the hours of 6pm and 7am each night.

Northbound traffic will be directed to exit the A76 at Dettingen Roundabout and follow the A70 eastbound and the B743 to Sorn, where they will be able to re-join the A76 at Mauchline Cross.

Southbound traffic will exit the A76 at B713 Catrine Junction and follow the above route in reverse.
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.

This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the safety and condition of the carriageway structures in this location.

Road users are thanked for their patience and understanding while this work is being undertaken.
