A76 Crosshands | Coring

A76 Crosshands
4th of March 2026, 8:00pm to 5th of March 2026, 6:00am

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential coring on the A76 between Crosshands and Bargower Riding School from 8pm on Wednesday 4th March until 6am on Thursday 5th March 2026 under a single overnight closure.

Traffic will be diverted as follows: Northbound traffic will be directed to exit the A76 at Dettingen Roundabout and follow the A70 to Holmston Roundabout and join the A77. Traffic will then follow Whitlett’s Roundabout, Sandyford Toll Roundabout, the B642 and the A719 to join the A76 at Crosshands Roundabout.

Southbound traffic will follow the above diversion in reverse.

Vehicles over 14ft/1.42m will be directed to follow the permanently signed diversion via the U728, the B7046, the B730 and the A70.

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.

This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the safety and condition of the carriageway in this location.

Road users are thanked for their patience and understanding while this work is being undertaken.
