A75 Springholm | Footway Improvements
Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking daytime footpath improvement works on the A75 in Springholm from Monday 7th July until Friday 19th September 2025, between the hours of 8:30am and 4pm each weekday.
This work will improve the condition and accessibility of the footpaths adjacent to the A75 and reduce the need for more extensive maintenance in future.
To ensure the safety of road users and pedestrians the works will be undertaken in phases using a series of single lane closures, managed by a 24-hour temporary traffic light system. Please note, these works will move along sections of the A75 Springholm until the improvement scheme is complete.
These works have been co-ordinated with the local authority to ensure there is no additional disruption during planned works to relocate two bus stops by the council, prior to Amey’s scheme commencing.
Priority access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.
Dates and timings of schemes can be subject to change due to unforseen circumstances or to avoid potential clashes on the network.
