A75 South of Newton Stewart | Essential Resurfacing

A75 South of Newton Stewart
15th of February 2026, 7:00pm to 17th of February 2026, 6:00am

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential resurfacing on the A75, south of Newton Stewart, from Sunday 15th February until Tuesday 17th February 2026 between the hours of 7pm and 6am each night.

This work will require overnight closures in this location. A signed diversion will be in place as follows;

Westbound traffic will be directed to exit the A75 at Wigtown Road Roundabout and will follow Wigtown Road, A714 Queen Street, Princes Street and St Couan’s Road to re-join the A75.

Eastbound traffic will follow the above diversion in reverse.

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.

This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the safety and condition of the carriageway in this location.

Road users are thanked for their patience and understanding while this work is being undertaken.
