A75 Kirtle Water West Of Gretna | Bridge Joint Replacements

A75 Kirtle Water West Of Gretna
8th of September 2025, 8:00pm to 26th of September 2025, 7:00am

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential bridge expansion joints on the A75 at Kirtle Water, west of Gretna, from Monday 8th September until Friday 26th September 2025 as follows:

This work will require overnight closures of the A75 in both directions at this location between the hours of 6pm and 7am each night. Eastbound traffic will be diverted via the northbound A701 and Beattock Interchange to follow the southbound A74 and the northbound B7076 to re-join the A75 at the eastbound on-slip. Westbound traffic will follow this route in reverse.

Lane closures with temporary traffic lights will then be in place between 7am and 6pm each day.

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.

This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the safety and condition of the carriageway structures in this location.

Road users are thanked for their patience and understanding while this work is being undertaken.
