A75 Between Ravenshall and Cairn Holy | Essential Resurfacing

A75 Between Ravenshall and Cairn Holy
8th of December 2025, 8:00pm to 16th of December 2025, 6:00am

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential resurfacing on the A75 between Ravenshall and Cairn Holy, west of Auchenlarie Caravan Park to Kirkdale Junction, from Monday 8th December until Tuesday 16th December 2025 between the hours of 8pm and 6am each weeknight. No works will take place on Saturday 13th December or Sunday 14th December.

This work will be carried out under overnight closures of the A75 between Auchenlarie and Carsluith. Traffic will be diverted via the A713 at Castle Douglas to the A77 and follow Ayr and Girvan to the A714 to Newton Stewart.

Temporary traffic lights will be in place between 6am and 8pm on Wednesday 10th December and Thursday 11th December.
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.

This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the safety and condition of the carriageway in this location.

Road users are thanked for their patience and understanding while this work is being undertaken.
