A75 Between Eastriggs and Gretna | Various Improvements

A75 Between Eastriggs and Gretna
9th of October 2026, 8:00pm to 17th of October 2026, 6:00am

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential resurfacing, vehicle restraint system improvements, traffic sign renewal and drainage improvements on the A75 between Nivenhill Overbridge and Green Underpass.

The works will commence on Friday 9th October and are scheduled for completion on Friday 16th October 2026.

To allow the works to be carried out safely, the A75 will be closed continuously between the Gretna dual carriageway crossover and Eastriggs Junction from 8pm on Friday 9th October until 6am on Monday 12th October. The remaining works will continue through to Friday 16th October under overnight closures between 8pm and 6am.

Traffic will be diverted via the B721 through Rigg, Eastriggs and Dornock, and the B6357 at Annan. Eastbound traffic will follow the diversion route in reverse. Access for residents will be maintained under escort where it is safe to do so.

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout the works under escort where required.

Please note all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.

This scheme will benefit road users by improving the condition of the carriageway, traffic signs and drainage along this section of the A75.

Road users are thanked for their patience and understanding while this work is being undertaken.
