A75 Bettyknowes to Crocketford | Resurfacing
Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential resurfacing on the A75 between Bettyknowes and Crocketford from Monday 6th October until Friday 10th October 2025 between the hours of 8pm and 6am each night, with the TM setup removed by 6am Saturday 11th October 2025.
This work will require overnight road closures in this location and traffic will be diverted as follows:
Westbound traffic will be directed to exit the A75 at Garroch Loaning and follow Cargenbridge Roundabout to the A711 to Dalbeattie and the B794. Traffic will then continue through Haugh of Urr to re-join the A75.
Eastbound traffic will exit the A75 at Haugh of Urr Road and follow the above diversion in reverse.
Additionally, daytime lane closure will be utilised on the 8th and 9th October to allow newly laid material to cool.
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the safety and condition of the carriageway in this location.
Road users are thanked for their patience and understanding while this work is being undertaken.
