A737 in Kilwinning | Essential Patching

Between Old Woodwynd Rd and Byres Road

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential patching on the A737 in Kilwinning, between Old Woodwynd Rd and Byres Road, from Friday 20th March until Friday 27th March 2026 under one full weekend closure and two overnight closures. 

The full weekend closure will be in place from 7pm on Friday 20th March until 6am on Monday 23rd March, and the two overnight closures will be in place from 7pm on Wednesday 25th March until 6am on Friday 27th March, between Hillend Roundabout in Dalry and Byres Road in Kilwinning. 

Southbound traffic will be diverted via the B714 to Sharphill Roundabout, A78 Three Towns Bypass, Pennyburn Roundabout, A738 Stevenston Road and Howgate. Northbound traffic will take this diversion route in reverse, 
Resident and business access will be maintained throughout these closures. 

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works. 

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable. 

This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the safety and condition of the carriageway in this location.
