A725 Eastbound | Essential Resurfacing

between Birniehill and Whitemoss Roundabouts
5th of September 2025, 8:00pm to 7th of September 2025, 6:30am

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential resurfacing, re-lining and loop replacements on the A725 eastbound between Birniehill and Whitemoss Roundabouts from Friday 5th September until Sunday 7th September 2025 between the hours of 8pm and 6:30am each night.

This work will require two overnight total closures of the EB A725 between Birniehill and Whitemoss Roundabouts. All approaching local and trunk road traffic will be diverted at Murray Roundabout via Churchill Avenue, turn right at Priestknowe Roundabout on to Whitemoss Avenue and then rejoin the A725.

These works are to be carried out during overnight closures when traffic flows are minimal and therefor do not envisage any significant delays in journeys to the travelling public.

All traffic management will be removed by 6:30am on Sunday 7th September 2025.

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.

This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the safety and condition of the carriageway surface in this location.

Road users are thanked for their patience and understanding while this work is being undertaken.
